Dear ___________________ (person who is reading this) the book I just finished reading is called The Return of Gabriel.
The author is John Armistead.
The characters are:
Gabriel
Jubal
Uncle Chicago
Squirrel Kogan
A lot more people are in this book, it has lots of people in the book.
One thing I can say for the plot is that the book is very racist. It is because the book said that a boy named Gabriel can't go to the church for black people because he is white. But he really does not care so he still does it. The book is to me very good and interesting because of how the author explains the book.
The setting is not told but I can tell it's somewhere in the south because the people are racist. I can also tell it's like in the time of slavery or right after slavery was banned.
My favorite part is where the kid was about to do something to the other kid for annoying him so much about him going to a different church.
My least favorite part is the part where the kid does not stand up for him self when the other kid is bothering him.
Sincerely,
Your
friend

DEAR ______________ the book i abandoned is called The autobiography of Benjamin Franklin.
The author of the book is called Benjamin Franklin.
I abandoned the book because i did not understand it, and it had very hard vocabulary.
The plot is very hard to explain because the book is really confusing and so i can't really write about it but i can say that Benjamin was really smart.
The book does not say the setting but i think it's somewhere in Germany.
I have no favorite part.
My least favorite part is the entire book.
sincerely Julio Lopez

Title: Should the driving age be raised to 18?
Author: There are two authors because it is talking about both reasons why it should be or not be allowed. They are called John D’Amico (yes), Alex Koroknay-Palicz (no).
Source: The New York Times
The topic of the article is: The title (Should the driving age be raised to 18?)
The main idea of the article is: Stated because it says in the title. Should the driving age be raised to 18?
The author’s purpose for writing this article is to inform the reader why people think the driving age should be raised to 18.
The author’s perspective in this article is objective because he is putting two reasons why the driving age should or shouldn’t be raised to 18.
The pattern of organization of the article is in chronological order because it tells you steps by steps why the age should be or shouldn’t be raised to 18.
The reason the author chose this pattern for the article is to make the article more understandable for the reader.
The text features included in the article are: The two reasons it helps me by giving some details to me about why or why not, examples helps me by getting me more into it.
This article is about (a summary in your own words) :
This article is about why the driving age should be raised to 18. One person called John D’Amico says it should be raised to 18 because on Dec. 29, 2005 four teenagers went out for a late-night drive and had a horrible accident. Two of the boys died they were still very young one was only 16 and the other one was 17 years old.
Also there was a person who says it should not be changed but he/her doesn’t really give any good supporting details so I don’t get into believing it so much, but the person did contrast a boy and girl into why boys should not drive at 16 and that girls should be allowed to drive at the age of 16 because men cause more accidents than women.
In my opinion I would say it should be changed to 18.
The significance (importance) of this article is to inform the reader why or why not the age should be raised to 18.
What I learned from this article is that more men crash than women.
What I liked about this article is that the author gives two reasons why or why not the age should be raised to 18.
What I did not like about it is that the person that says the age should not be changed does not give enough examples.
Who should read this article and why teenagers should read this article so they can be warned about the age change so they can have the right to drive at the age of 16, be more careful.
This article reminds me of (text-to-self) well I’m not 16 yet but I think the age should be raised to 18 because it is true that lots of teenagers think they are so cool so they speed and in a split second they crash.
(text-to-text) Last year I read an article about why the age should be increased to 18, and with that I am more convinced about the age going up to 18.
(text-to-world) Once I heard in the news that a teenage kid crashed in the street and he died. I would not allow teens to be driving in any place without adult supervision.
New vocabulary I learned Word Context Clues Meaning
1. Pedestrians-The rest were pedestrians, passengers, and people in cars that teenage drivers struck.- people walking In the street.
2. Burdensome- Raising the driving age may seem burdensome to parents and some busy teens, but we must remember that this is a proposal about safety, not convenience.- not good idea.

My author of course is called Tiki Barber because is his auto biography. I really did not like the book because it's not my type of book it is about him in his American football life. but he does explain very well.
The characters are called:
Tiki Barber:
These are the characters the main one is Tiki Barber.
The plot is Tiki Barber is a running back for the New York Giants and he talks about how his life was when he was younger. He has a twin brother called Ronde they look so alike that they had to where a hat that said their name on it so people could identify who is who. He really loves football he feels like it is in slow motion but it goes really fast. He makes me feel like if i'm in the book. He even uses real examples of him in a game. He was very successful.
I am going to put a quote he said that was in the back of the book.
"There's a lot of work, discipline, and character that goes into reaching your goals. But I learned one thing for certain from my football career. Heart is an essential ingredient to success."- Tiki barber.
This quote helps me because it keeps me encouraged in a soccer game.
My favorite part is the part where he puts the pictures for us to see.

The book I'm read is called shooting the moon. The author is called Frances O'Roark Dowell. He is a really good author. He makes me feel like if i'm in the book. I think he should write more books like this.
The characters are:
TJ
Jamie Dexter
Eddie
McNeil
The people who play Gim rummy. Which is the main character.
The setting is in some type of camp, house.
The plot is about a girl that is very angry a terrified, sad that her brother is going to the Vietnam War to serve the army. She thinks that he might not make it back alive home or be back with no arm or leg. I really didn't think that will happen but in the end of the book it said that TJ was captured and put as hostage, with that in mind I think any thing can happen to him. Also shooting the moons is supposed to be about the book like shooting is for the war, and the moon is supposed to be TJ not being able to see the moon in hostage, Taking pictures of the moon for TJ.
My least favorite part is the part where the book says that TJ was in hostage. My heart was torn I can imagine if my brother or sister were in hostage. I'll be very terrified.
My favorite part is the part where the book says what shooting the moon means because it made me less confused than when I first read the title.
Your friend,
Julio Lopez.
I would recommend this book!
